Peking to Paris

September 10th to October 16th 2010

In 1907, the French newspaper ‘Le Matin’ issued an extraordinary challenge to its readers: ‘Will anyone agree to go, this summer, from Peking to Paris by motor-car?’

Among the applicants were Prince Scipione Borghese, an enterprising aristocrat and his devoted chauffeur Ettore.

  2. Dear Both , Well done for the efforts you have made so far , Can you wire the steel ring onto the broken spoke of the steering wheel ? or perhaps bind it & if you wanted to make it stronger coat the binding in araldite.
We walked beside the Thames & through parts of Windsor & Eton today & look forward to the Goodwood Revival meeting with picnic & the 30-98. What fuel consumption are you managing & is the overdrive all OK ?. Best regards George & Caroline Pitt
