Very Well done all three of you Peter , David & the 4.5. A great achievement & very good to have driven & navigated so far . Re the small starting problem can I suggest you check the plug gaps are not over 18 thou & the points in the mags have not closed up with so much use in dusty conditions – 12 thou here I beleive . Are you depressing the clutch when using the self starter ? See you in Surrey to hear more tales of derring do .

Have a wonderful time celebrating, hope the Paris demonstrations don’t get in your way. You must be jubilant and relieved i’m sure to have brought the car back in one piece through what has, without doubt, been a significant adventure.
